Promptous came to us with a need to power their business by connecting their payment system with their existing iOS mobile app for B2B vendors and DTC audiences. Their goal was to provide easier access to affordable dental services through custom dental plans designed specifically for small businesses, startups, freelancers, individuals, and families.

Our expert team built a three-fold solution. We began by creating custom APIs to supply and consume Pomptous’ business data before introducing database migrations. Finally, we added payment integration with Wex, a globally recognized payment processor.

Custom API Development
In order to manage a robust business data flow, we developed a service for generating and uploading files from the platform to third-party payment API servers. We also assembled a .csv file from a PostgreSQL database and uploaded it to a remote server via a Secure File Transfer Protocol (SFTP).
Simple Object Access Protocol
Simple Object Access Protocol
In order to keep their business data accessible, we created a Simple Object Access Protocol (SOAP) client for consuming data from their third-party server. This makes a SOAP call to a vendor easy when an API call is made to a Java application.

In addition to technical solutions, we established business management processes using a project management setup within Jira to facilitate automation and simplify work for developers.
